The announcement on the locations of two cities where the NHL will be going to hold its 2020 Stanley Cup playoffs is expected to come soon.
Soon, the NHL will be going to announcing two hub cities for its 2020 Stanley Cup playoff tournament, and in the next two weeks, we should know the name of the cities. The league will announce the hub cities on June 22nd, a Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter John Katsilometes reported.
The names of the finalist for the two hub cities are Columbus, Chicago, Edmonton, Dallas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Vancouver and Toronto. It was reported that until the hub cities are announced, MGM Resorts International is keeping some of its hotel space off the market.
Earlier this week, the NHL announced that training camp will be going to start on 10th July. Gary Bettman announced last month that they don’t have a beginning date for the 24-team playoffs, but it is a big deal about the announcement of a training camp date. The league initially said it would no longer start before July 1st. The start of training camp on the 10th July means the playoffs would likely start a couple weeks later.
Since Monday, Players are allowed to conduct volunteer, small-group workouts at their home facilities.
